What areas of technology will be facing growth in the coming future? ?

I would like to major in some sort of technical field and then perhaps go on to get my MBA. I'm confused as to what area of technology to major in. I know of a couple..for e.g. nanotechnology, genetic research, alternative energy, pharmaceuticals. The problem is none of those really interest me that much. If you know of any fun areas of technology that will be facing growth in the coming future, please let me know!!!

If you are interested in computers then I can help you. If not then you need to find another area of interest. Take a career survey and it may tell you what your major interests are. Have you ever thought that if you're not interested in any of these fields that technology isn't the field for you? If you want to know growth rates, pay rate, and percentage increase/decrease of certain things I suggest you go to the Bureau of Labor & Statistics. This will give you a good idea on which industry area is growing or shrinking. http://www.bls.gov/
