Are there any jobs NOT at risk of outsourcing (and don't say McDonald's. That's slavery)?

Mangelsons -- Kmart --Walmart -- You probably should work at McDonands for a couple weeks and find out it is not slavery. Just remember I was a teenager when the first store opened in out city and thousands of people worked for MCD and earned the college degree... Careful how you use slavery..

I found one. The company that I work for advertises that it will not outsource positions. Also look into Ben and Jerry's ice cream, it is a cool company to work for and they offer so many benefits too. Good luck

I think if you work for a privately owned company, rather than a publicly traded one, you are much safer in regards to outsourcing. When the employees own the company, they are far less likely to outsource jobs or sell to the highest bidder. Publicly traded companies are all about pleasing their investors and will do anything for that all mighty dollar.

If you become an expert in your field, outsourcing won't matter. They work may be outsourced to you. Remember, outsourcing doesn't always mean sending it overseas. My position was outsources. I am now management at the comping it was outsourced to and making more money.
