Hourly/parttime jobs: How extensively do employers check your job history/experience/references?
Asked by Paco J
On the hourly level, maybe a shift manager somewhere.. how extensive do you think employers check someone's job application? Like can they find out the exact dates you worked somewhere?

I tend to think it is where you are applying as well as who is in charge. When I was hiring I called every refernce as well as past employer, did background checks and drug screening, but it was for a more serious work I believe. Most employers generally call the last known employment, and your references unless something sounds fishy. However a time lapse in between jobs may make them ask you to describe why, as well as is you have had a federal offence and you lie about it... big trouble!. hope this helps, good luck on the job.

by the amount of hour u work.
