What education do you need to be a receptionist?

I'm 17 and graduating high school in June. Do you think an asisted living center would hire me as a receptionist or do places like this usually require a diploma/ experience?

Usually just a high school diploma is all that's required. It's worth a shot.

most of the times just a high school diploma but if you have experience that helps alot

no education is normally required, although most places do prefer a diploma or GED. More important it the patience of a saint and the abililty to do 50 things at once. It isnt a hard job, depending on phone volume, but you do have to be able to multi-task well.
